The most realistic piano sound and touch
available
The KR-7 incorporates the best of Roland’s sound technology,
and offers the world’s finest and most realistic piano tones—which
can even simulate a piano’s string resonance! This is an instrument
that sounds just like a full concert acoustic grand. It feels like one
too. Its authentic touch comes from Roland’s unique Progressive
Hammer Action Keyboard with Escapement, which employs real
hammers rather than springs. The keyboard has a realistic touch
resistance, with a lighter response when playing soft pianissimo
passages and a stronger response on fortissimo passages. It also
provides a lighter touch in the upper
range and a heavier touch in the lower
range. The KR-7 delivers each delicate
nuance of your fingers perfectly and natu-
rally, just like an acoustic grand.
Authentic instrument tones and exciting
auto-accompaniment features
In addition to its realistic piano tones the KR-7 offers more
than 600 other lifelike instrument sounds. Whatever sort of instru-
ment you’d like to play—stringed, wind, synth or percussion from
anywhere in the world—you can. Do you need piano accompani-
ment? A symphony? Or a rock band backing you? It’s simple with
the KR-7. Special expressive tones, backing styles and auto-
accompaniment features make you feel like you’re playing right in
the middle of a real live band. Best of all, you can quickly and
easily access all these features through the large LCD touchscreen.
Powerful new speaker system for
“Grand Sound”
Developed especially for the KR-7, this
new speaker system features an ideal balance
between the upward-pointing tweeters and the
full-range speakers in independent enclosures facing you under the
keyboard. In combination with the high-grade amps and high-
quality output, the new system results in dynamic, vibrant sound
of great depth and exceptional presence—the same presence and
rich flow of sound from both above and below the soundboard as
you experience when you sit down to play a grand piano. The KR-7
also incorporates an easy onscreen equalizer function for shaping
the sound to suit the music or the room you are playing in.
Enhanced, easy-to-use lesson features
The KR-7 comes loaded with fun new features to back up
your piano practice sessions. The main attraction is the
“DigiScore” function, which displays the score for the song right
on its large screen. The KR-7 also offers an improved “Rhythm
Partner” metronome function. Displayed with a “Bouncing LED”
on the panel, this function lets you choose the KR-7’s percussion
and drum backup rhythms, providing the right beat and more
realism for the piece you are playing, and helping you develop a
natural sense of rhythm and timing.
“Wonderland:” Fun, interactive practice
for children
The KR-7 contains an “edu-tainment” feature called
“Wonderland” designed specifically for children. With large,
animated onscreen graphics—and a variety of instruments and
voices such as guitar, trumpet, drums, barking dog and locomo-
tive—children can enjoy fun interactive lessons, and six exciting
musical and note-guessing games to help them develop their ear for
music and their sense of rhythm.
Fully-adjustable music stand
Great care went into crafting the KR-7’s music stand with
handy clip for securing music books and scores. It is fully
adjustable, so you can change its angle, or move it backward or
forward for the most comfortable reading and playing posture.
Finely-crafted cabinet
The KR-7 is an elegant
addition to any room’s décor.
Its finely-crafted cabinet
helps improve overall sound
quality, and adds a sense of
luxury to your playing. It
comes in your choice of rich
simulated mahogany or the
even more beautiful polished
mahogany.
